Training and Qualifications

Linda Renshaw trained with Body Control Pilates in 2008, completing practical sessions, anatomy and physiology study, supervised teaching over a period of around six months and exams which complete the basic matwork qualification (level 3). Ongoing training and development is very important in Body Control Pilates, and since then she has also trained in:

  • Intermediate Matwork, Advanced Matwork and Classical Matwork
  • Small equipment including Pilates with the band, small ball and toning circle
  • Pilates for pregnancy and post-natal Pilates
  • Pilates for bone health and osteoporosis


Coming from a background in psychology, Linda is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society and completed a Masters Degree in the Psychology of Sport and Exercise in 2016.

She is currently in the process of completing the master teacher qualification (level 4) as well as the new, industry standard requirements for teaching ante-natal and post-natal exercise. 


Areas of interest include: the psychology of exercise, neck pain, vertigo, posture and gait, recovery from injury, hip replacement rehabilitation, low back pain / disc pain management and rehabilitation, pelvic floor health, relaxation, positive nutrition and above all a practical approach to living and moving well!


Sporting interests include: triathlon (coaching as well as competing), road cycling, long distance cycling, swimming and open water swimming, running, mountaineering, rock climbing, snooker, pool and bowls!
